This is where we keep old stories from the main blog entry to keep it from being one big long wall of text! (not that it isn't already but still...) Be aware, that this stuff is DATED, so content you might see here might not be active or relevant or what not. If you have any questions on what's up with Fall Out Toy Works right now, by all means, feel free to ask by noting the group or the group admins. :)

2011 News

15.12.2011 :note: HappyAggro again. No new news yet, but more GoMerch holiday sales promo, as not only do they have the Trade Paperback compilation and individual issues 2-5, you can also get them for 15% off when you put in the discount code FOB15CHEER during check out. The comics can be found under the accessory section [here] and Toyworks logo shirts can still be found [here]! They've also added a few (emphasis on "a few") old FOB merch items up, some of which you have to dig for to find.

24.11.2011 :note: HappyAggro again. News on the motion comic front has been...minimal, but for those of you who haven't gotten the Fall Out Toy Works trade paperback or the individual issues 3-5, this Black Friday brings good tidings!

The Fall Out Boy GoMerch store is having a Black Friday sale. Everything in the store (including the comics!) is 20% off. All you have to do is enter the discount code black during the checkout process! The comics can be found under the accessory section [here]! It's one day only, so if you're feeling like impulse buying, well, that's your call!

Hopefully we'll have something more eventful to tell you guys about Fall Out Toy Works in the new year. :)

22.3.2011 :note: HappyAggro again. Anyone in the San Francisco area on April 1st who wants to see some fresh Fall Out Toy Works stuff is in for a treat (and it ain't no joke!)

Wondercon (a comic convention, natch) is hosting an informational panel being led by Double Barrel
Motion Labs that'll be discussing the transition of comics into other forms of media...including motion comics
Most notably, they're going to be premiering new footage of the Fall Out Toy Works motion comic with Anna Farris's voice over! As we've mentioned before on this blog, she's the voice for Tiffany! Dr. Romanelli is also going to be there for the panel! Should be fun!

There's still enough time to get tickets, so if you have the time and the inclination, go check out Wondercon!

...which really doesn't make that much sense if you read it, but hey, you know enough about it by being in this dA group, right? ;)

A brilliant young toy maker risks his entire company for his factory’s newly produced android named Tiffany, but when he falls in love with his own creation and she has already been sold to the most powerful man on Earth, getting her back becomes his greatest passion and threatens to lead to his own destruction. Inspired by the ideas and lyrics of Fall Out Boy, Fall Out Toy Works brings the magic of innocence to life as both a toy maker and his invention set about learning the true secrets of life.

Created by Fall Out Boy, Darren Romanelli (Dr Romanelli DRx) and Nathan Cabrera, this collection also includes interviews with Pete Wentz and Darren Romanelli, plus a sketchbook section revealing the origins of the designs for the project. Collects Fall Out Toy Works #1-5.

2010 News (somewhat incomplete, definitely not dated)

:note:HappyAggro again.

It isn't done. GoMerch says that the company in charge, Double Barrel Motion Labs, doesn't have it finished and doesn't have any solid guesstimate as to when it should be.

...and yet, Double Barrel put out a press release anyways. Swellllllllll.

We'll keep you posted.

We have more news about the motion comic! It'll be available for pre-order on September 18th ($19.99) and officially available on October 19th, and released over a period of 15 weeks. You can get it from falloutboyrock.com, gomerch.com and friendsorenemies.com

It tells us pretty much what we already know in terms of casting (Patrick is Toymaker, Pete is Crybaby), but it does tell us that Tiffany will be voiced by Anna Faris and Gravity Welles will be voiced by Jaime King.

:note:HappyAggro here. Guess who managed to get somebody most of us here are familiar with to answer a question~? :la:

Q&A Part 4. Around the 00:34 mark. Pete goes on talking more about what's next for FOTW.

:bulletblue: A hardback compilation of all the issues so far... They mentioned something along the lines of a trade paperback a while back, that might as well be this. UPGRADE! Sa-weet.

:bulletblue: A motion comic... [view the trailer here] They released that trailer late last year, guess that means it'll be done soon!

:bulletblue: Merchandising... Also something mentioned earlier on, clothing and toys and all that. Dr. Romanelli, who also worked on the comic, will be helping out with this endeavor.

:bulletblue: "Something special on the horizon"... Pete did mutter something about a potential ANIMATED FEATURE on his Twitter before...

So, basically, stuff that has been mentioned before is still going on. Very good for fans. :)
